HOW TO DONATE
Food donation points around Pill: there are donation boxes in the churches, The Salvation Army, and Pill Resource Centre.
Volunteers collect the donations and take them to the storage location.
Can I make cash donations?
Yes - we need cash to top up the parcels with essentials, pop your donation in an envelope marked FOODBANK and drop off at the Resource Centre or Salvation Army.

All donations to our food bank are appreciated, so please don’t think we're saying anything other than that. But lots of people are unsure of the best things to give, here is a brief suggestion list...
The first thing to remember is that we don't have a fridge, so everything needs to be ambient (this means they are non-persihable and don't need to be stored in a fridge) things that you would store in a larder or pantry.
BREAKFAST:
Porridge & muesli
Corn flakes & crisped rice
Jam, peanut butter, marmalade
CARBOHYDRATES:
Pasta, rice, flour, sugar
Tinned spaghetti, instant noodles
Tortilla chips and snacks
Tinned rice pudding
Jelly and tinned custard
DAIRY PRODUCTS:
UHT milk, soya milk, skimmed milk powder
FRUIT:
Sultanas,
Broken mandarin segments, canned peaches and mixed fruit cocktail
PROTEIN:
Kidney beans, baked beans in tomato sauce,
Meatballs in tomato sauce, Irish stew
Red lentils and chickpeas
Corned beef, tinned ham,
FISH:
Tuna, fish paste, sardines
VEGETABLES:
Chopped tomatoes,
Tinned mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, sweetcorn, peas
COOKING:
Cumin, chilli, paprika, lemon juice, stock cubes, gravy
SOUPS/SAUCES:
Vegetable soup, tomato soup, chicken soup
Pasta sauce, one pot stir through sauce
DRINKS:
UHT orange juice, UHT apple juice, squash
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate
TOILETRIES:
toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, sanitary towels and tampons, soap bars,
